Seeking a challenging position in the field of Sports Casting that will effectively utilize my education in journalism and my passion for the sports and esports community. 

 

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

The Game Haus, Remote

Contributing (E)sports Writer October 2021-present

  • Work as a writer to publish articles in relation to esports like Call of Duty, providing analysis and news within the (E)sport. 

  • Maintain all brand approval communication according to creative guidelines.

  • Identify gaps or challenges with the existing creative guidelines.

  • Gather and manage messaging from external mobile game developers.

  • Desktop research on mobile gaming trends, formatting decks, sourcing images, organizing docs and assets.

  • develops objectives and strategies to increase the overall effectiveness of broadcasting the (E)sport with a focus on increasing engagement for viewers.

  • Lead and partner with internal and external teams to ensure broadcasts are successfully executed at a high-quality standard.

  • Work closely with (E)sports team to ensure the path to worlds is accurately conveyed.

  • Work closely with premier events team to ensure broadcast needs are supported at events.

  • Develop and direct creative, themes, and show content to increase average minute audience and ensure alignment with global strategies and broadcast goals.

  • Develop standards of production and ensure standards are adhered to globally.

  • Responsible for continually evaluating and improving the overall execution of global broadcasts.

  • Collaboratively frame, define, guide, deliver, understand, and iterate on systems and features critical to the success of our (E)sports Drops and Watch Rewards digital products.

  • Understand other programs that reward professional (E)sport viewership to drive teamwide understanding of key systems and features in competing products.

  • Partner with Analysts and Researchers on the team to build feedback loops that understand (E)sports fan needs, validate key product hypotheses, and incorporate those learnings into product backlogs and roadmaps.

  • Independently conduct analysis and player sentiment research to continually refine the team’s understanding of (E)sport fan needs and game performance.

  • Communicate cross-functionally and globally to align team members around a shared understanding of how the team’s work impacts key drivers of (E)sport fan experience and product success.

  • Work with partner producers, engineers, visual artists, user experience designers, and program managers to ideate on, define, and schedule feature development.

 

Los Angeles Angels (Angel Stadium), Anaheim, California

Guest Relations, April 2022 - Present

  • Provide excellent customer service for all fans of Angels Baseball and guests of Angel Stadium.

  • Provide professional support throughout all areas of the park including the Guest Relations Office, Satellite Kiosks, Entrance Gates and other stations or immediate locations within or around the ballpark to ensure all fans, suite holders and guests' needs are fulfilled.

  • Support special events by ensuring office, wheelchair assistance, and security needs are met.

  • Support and guide students with enrollment and general questions about their educational goals.

ORGANIZATIONS AND CLUBS

  • CSUDH Bulletin – Staff Reporter, Senior Editor for the student runned newspaper, the CSUDH Bulletin. Usually focus on 1 or 2 stories per issue while working on others with other staff reporters and editors, was the number three person in charge on bulletin board behind editor in chief and managing editor. 

  • Society of Independent Student Journalists – Member - Club that provides information and insight on the media industry. 

  • CSUDH (E)sports – Team Analyst - Go over plans and media strategies to keep fans involved. Also helped the team with coaching, scheduling, as well as roster management. 

  • Omega Delta Phi Fraternity Inc. – Rush Chair, Secretary - Helped get new members to join our Fraternity. Recorded minutes for all meetings and enforced bylaws within the Fraternity as well.
